Nursing Technology

Nursing Technology

Our teams strive to utilize technology to improve not only patient care, but also the experiences and workflows of our nurses and other Caregivers. To do this, we utilize an electronic health record, communication devices, smart IV pumps, virtual sitter devices, and other innovative patient care technology.

We recognize, however, that technology is best used when the people and the processes that surround it are considered. Teams like our nursing clinical analysts, Nursing Clinical Informatics Council, and our iCare EHR Shared Governance Committees work to ensure that we leverage technology to truly meet needs. New projects are proposed, piloted, and introduced each year, often based on direct feedback from clinical staff.
