Dr. Khoury is board certified in Critical Care Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Sleep Medicine. He received his MD degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in 1994 with induction into the national medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha. He then completed his internship, residency and fellowship training at Duke University Medical Center, finishing in 2000. After practicing with Lynchburg Pulmonary Associates for 24 years, he recently moved to full time Critical Care Medicine with part of his time as Medical Director of Critical Care and Chair of the Critical Care Medicine department. He has enjoyed living in Lynchburg and is grateful to have raised his family in the region. He enjoys outdoor activities such as skiing, scuba diving, and hiking when not caring for patients.
