Dr. Hanawalt grew up in Central Iowa and worked in corporate health and fitness prior to completing her Master’s degree in Community Health and her PhD in Preventative Medicine and Environmental Health. Dr. Hanawalt has more than 20 years of experience in family medicine and occupational medicine. She is committed to safety at home, at work and in the community. Her goal is to share her expertise, experiences and visions to expand policies and practices that will protect workers, assist employers and promote work-life balance, disease prevention and healing.
