The Joint Replacement Center of Virginia (JRCV) was established to serve the needs of the Lynchburg area with a comprehensive program for total joint replacement. Designed specifically for the treatment of joint pain, the JRCV has a regional reputation for its superior surgical techniques and high levels of patient satisfaction. The JRCV's orthopedic unit and staff are dedicated to total joint replacement. The unit features a rehabilitation room that allows patients to get out of bed and back on their feet alongside fellow patients.
Inpatient rehabilitation plays a vital role in a patient's full recovery and begins the day following surgery. For patients requiring more physical therapy after discharge, Centra Health offers outpatient rehabilitation services across the street from Lynchburg General Hospital at the Tate Springs Medical Center Suite 16, Jamerson Family YMCA, Virginia Baptist Hospital, and Gretna Medical Center. The JRCV's surgeons specialize in total joint replacements of the hip and knee. Together, they have performed thousands of joint procedures with excellent patient satisfaction.
To promote community wellness, the JRCV sponsors seminars on joint pain taught by a registered nurse from the JRCV. The free seminars also include information about exercises, proper nutrition, and other steps that individuals can take to reduce their joint pain.
