Centra’s Outpatient Rehabilitation is located inside the doors of the Jamerson Family YMCA.  We are a Centra satellite clinic and have a space completely separate from the YMCA, but also have access to all the Y’s equipment.

We offer hands on, individual treatment programs provided by experienced therapists with specialized credentials and advanced training.

We offer a variety of outpatient physical therapy services including treatment for:

  • Back and neck pain
  • Joint replacements
  • Aquatic therapy
  • Headaches and TMJ disorder
  • Shoulder and elbow pain
  • Hip and SI joint injury
  • Knee and ankle pain
  • Orthopedic injuries
  • Sports injuries
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Work injuries
  • Post surgical rehab
  • Balance and fall prevention
  • General deconditioning and deconditioning from sickness or hospitalization

Our customized aquatic therapy takes advantage of the physical properties of water.  Buoyency supports a person’s weight which facilitates therapeutic exercises without the compressive forces of gravity that places weight on a person’s joints. This decreased joint stress enables patients to exercise with less pain.

As seen in The News and Advance on August 3, 2007, Letters to the Editor:

“On two occasions I have had therapy on both of my knees, after having total knee replacement surgery. One was on June 27, 2006 and the other June 12 , 2007.

I chose the therapy at the Centra Health Rehab center at the Jamerson YMCA on Enterprise Drive and was attended by a very professional group of young adult therapists who really know their jobs and administered the very best service.

I finished the program after 12 sessions and I highly praise and recommend this wonderful group of professionals to any and all."

We love you guys,
