Centra Mental Health Services is now providing specialized mental health programs for children and their families in their homes. Centra In-Home Services include comprehensive family assessments, crisis counseling, individual and family counseling, case management, communication skills, 24-hour emergency response and individualized strengths-based treatment plans. Services are currently offered in Lynchburg, Roanoke, Lexington and surrounding counties.Centra’s In-Home Services’ team of experienced professionals includes mental health counselors, licensed professional counselors, licensed clinical social workers and child psychiatrists. Team members receive extensive training and consistent clinical supervision.Clients admitted to Centra’s In-Home Services benefit from a direct link to Centra’s other psychiatric services including medication management by child psychiatrists during and after services and direct admission for crisis stabilization to Centra Virginia Baptist Hospital.Centra In-Home Services are funded through Medicaid, the Comprehensive Services Act and other sources, and are licensed by the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS).
