What is the Center for Restorative Care and Rehabilitation?The CRCR is a long term, acute care hospital (LTACH) that provides comprehensive care and rehabilitation for patients with multiple medical problems. Patients typically require longer stays for diagnosis such as pulmonary and/or tracheotomy care, ventilator weaning, critical care issues, infectious diseases due to trauma, extensive surgery or disease. The CRCR is wholly owned by Centra Health Inc.
What is Centra Health, Inc?Centra Health Inc. is a not for profit regional healthcare system that is comprised of Lynchburg General Hospital, Virginia Baptist Hospital, Southside Community Hospital, Guggenheimer Health and Rehabilitation Center, Summit Health and Rehabilitation Center, Fairmont Crossing Health and Rehabilitation Center, Virginia Baptist Hospital Acute Rehab Center, Aspire Home Health, Centra Health Hospice , Aspire Outpatient programs in five locations, Summit Continuing Care Retirement Community, and Summit Assisted Living opening 2007. What types of patients are eligible for admission to the CRCR?Medically complex patients often with multi-system failure are eligible for admission.
