Terry H. Jamerson is publisher of The News & Advance in Lynchburg, and oversees eighteen other newspapers in Virginia.

She is senior vice president of Media General Publishing, and is responsible for Media General Community Newspapers in Virginia. In addition to The News & Advance, the papers include Danville, Charlottesville, Richlands, Culpeper, Orange, Waynesboro, Wytheville and Bristol.

Prior to joining Media General in 1995, Jamerson had been a newspaper publisher in Bryan College Station, Texas, and in Marion, Radford and Christiansburg. She also serves on the board of directors of SunTrust Bank, the Greater Lynchburg Chamber of Commerce, Partners in Education, Central Virginia United Way, the Greater Lynchburg Community Trust, Region 2000, STEP with Links, The National Conference, Junior Achievement, Central Virginia Educational Foundation and Lynchburg College.

She is 1979 graduate of Mary Baldwin College.
