Stuart C. Fauber is president of SunTrust Bank, Lynchburg.
Fauber is involved in numerous community activities. He is past chairman of the Board of Lynchburg Regional Chamber of Commerce and serves on the boards of Lynchburg College, Central Virginia Community College Foundation, National Conference for Community and Justice (NCCJ), and Step With Links, Inc. He also serves on the Advisory Board of Lynchburg College School of Business and Economics and was chairman of the 2002 United Way Campaign.

Fauber served as chairman of the Board of Westminster Canterbury of Lynchburg, Inc. and has served on the boards of Central Virginia Industries, Inc., Lynch's Ferry Authority, Oakwood Country Club, The Sheltered Workshop of Lynchburg, Inc., and the Kiwanis Club of Lynchburg. He was elected to the Lynchburg College School of Business and Economics Hall of Fame in 2000, and he received the Lynchburg Mayor's Award of Excellence in 2003.

Fauber retired as a captain in the U. S. Naval Reserve in 2000 after 33 years of service. His decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal with one gold star, the Navy Commendation Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal.

He holds a bachelor of arts degree in economics from Washington & Lee University and a MBA degree in personnel administration from Lynchburg College.
